Writmount Publishing Inc. (“Writmount”), respects your privacy and we are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy.

This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you access our website, view our content and use our publications, products and services (together, the “Products”) and our reasons and/or practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting and disclosing that information. We will not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of eighteen.

  • On Writmount.com, linkingwmn.ca and any other websites that we may operate from time to time (“Our Websites”).
  • In email and other electronic messages between you and Writmount.


It does not apply to information collected by:

  • Us offline or through any other means, including on any other website operated by Writmount or any third party; or
  • Any third party, including through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from our Products.

By using the Products, you are agreeing to our  Terms of Service and to this Privacy Policy. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to our  and to this Privacy Policy, you may not use the Products. We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. All modifications to our Privacy Policy are effective immediately when posted. If you do not agree to the modified Privacy Policy, you may not use the Products.


At Writmount we have a few fundamental principles:

  • We don’t ask you for personal information unless we truly need it.
  • We don’t share your personal information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
  • We don’t store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of one of our Products.


Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It


We collect several types of information from and about users of the Products, including information:

  • That is about you but individually does not identify you; and/or
  • About your internet connection, the equipment you use to access the Products and usage details.

  • When a customer engages with a Writmount sales representative – we collect contact information and information about the customer; and/or
  • When a customer interacts with a Writmount support person – we collect device and usage data or error reports to diagnose and resolve problems; and/or
  • When a customer pays for Products – we collect payment data to process payment; and/or
  • From third parties; and/or
  • Automatically as you navigate through our website. Information collected automatically may include usage details, IP addresses and information collected through cookies and other tracking technologies.


Like most website operators, Writmount collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site and the date and time of each visitor request. Writmount’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how visitors use our website. From time to time, we may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate (e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of our website). We may disclose aggregated information about our users and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction. We will not knowingly sell information, such as email addresses, to email list companies.


Writmount also collects potentially personally-identifying information, like IP addresses for logged in users and for users providing comments and/or links. Writmount only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below.

If you choose not to provide data required to provide you with Products, you cannot use fully utilize the Products, or at all. Information You Provide to Us. The information we collect via the Products or otherwise may include:

Third Party Applications


This Privacy Policy applies if you are a visitor to the Writmount website or if you purchase Products. Service Providers and Third Parties outside of Canada and the United States


Information may be stored and processed in any country where we have affiliates or service providers. By using our products or services, you consent to the transfer of information to countries outside of Canada and the United States, which may be governed by different data protection rules. Writmount, and its service providers and other third parties, including Writmount affiliates, with which we share information under this Privacy Policy, may perform activities outside of Canada and the United States. EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield and PIPEDA


Writmount adheres to the principles of the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield frameworks, although Writmount does not rely on the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as a legal basis for transfers of personal data in light of the judgment of the Court of Justice of the EU in Case C-311/18. Writmount also adheres to the requirements of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (Canada).


Conflicts

In the event of a conflict between this Writmount Privacy Policy and the terms of any agreement(s) between a customer and Writmount, the terms of such agreement(s) will prevail.
